This data protection declaration of Crypto International AG (hereinafter referred to as "Crypto") provides information about how we handle data and what data about you is processed, whether when using our website or in any other way. With regard to our website and our databases, we are responsible for processing your personal data and for ensuring that data processing is in compliance with the applicable law. In so doing, we comply with the applicable data protection regulations.

"Personal data" is all individual information on the personal or factual conditions of a specific or definable natural person. This means that this is information which can be associated with you and can say something about you. In this data protection declaration, we also use the expression "your data" to refer to such information. "Processing" is all handling of your data, especially the collection, storage, administration, utilisation, transmission, disclosure or deletion thereof.

Please note that the following descriptions may be updated from time to time. We therefore recommend that you consult this data protection declaration regularly. Third-party web pages that can be accessed via our portals are not subject to the principles outlined herein. We accept no responsibility or liability for ensuring that third-party web pages comply with the relevant data protection regulations.

The scope of your personal data

Unless stipulated otherwise by you, whenever you use our digital offers, the web server technology we employ automatically logs general technical user information. This information is collected and processed for the purpose of enabling the use of our web pages (connection), ensuring and increasing the security and stability of our systems and offers, analysing the use of our offers and services and optimising our online offers, as well as for internal statistical purposes. Users are not identified as part of this. Likewise, no connection is generally made between this automatically collected information and the data stored on our systems. Any personal data that you may divulge when sending a message (e.g. e-mail address, telephone number, etc.) may be used by us for marketing and analytical purposes. Personal data that you provide within the framework of a job application is used exclusively by our HR department.

Use of your personal data for advertising and marketing purposes

This applies both to the personalisation of advertising by e-mail, for example e-mails containing general information or of an advertising nature (newsletters), by phone, post, text message, MMS message, including instant messaging services, and to the delivery of personalised content and advertising on our website. As part of this, we may automatically analyse information available to us about your use of our website to avoid sending you inappropriate advertising.

When you send us a message, you may automatically register to receive our newsletters. Your e-mail address may then also be used for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe from the relevant newsletter again. You can unsubscribe at any time by sending an e-mail to crypto@crypto.ch.

Transfers of your personal data to third parties

In general, your data is not passed on to third parties without your authorisation. Such authorisation may be necessary in particular when we conclude an agreement with you.

In the event of the sale, merger or any other reorganisation of part or all of our company’s assets, personal data may be transferred, sold or shared with third parties in another way as part of this transaction or reorganisation.

Transfers of your personal data abroad

Within the framework of contractual fulfilment, your data may be transferred abroad to cooperation partners, suppliers, system integrators, etc. In this case, we take the same care and ensure the same information security as when processing your data internally.

Right of information, correction, deletion and complaint

You have the right to exercise your data protection rights at any time by demanding information about whether we process personal data about you and what data we process. You may also demand the correction, blocking or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to us and providing suitable proof of your identity. Please write to crypto@crypto.ch.

We reserve the right to consult you in this connection.

Please note that, even after you have demanded the deletion of your personal data, we may be required to retain it, partly on statutory or contractual grounds. In this case, we will merely block your personal data, where necessary for this purpose.

Retention periods for your personal data

We retain your data only for as long as necessary on legal grounds and for the relevant processing purpose. Should we store data on the basis of a contractual relationship with you, this data will be stored for the duration of the contractual relationship and for no longer than the statute of limitation for possible claims against us or as determined by the statutory or contractual retention obligations.

The protection of your personal data

We take organisational and technical measures to protect your personal data. These measures are constantly adapted and improved in line with technological developments. We accept no liability for the loss of data or for its disclosure to and utilisation by third parties. We take our own internal data protection extremely seriously. Our employees and the suppliers commissioned by us are pledged to confidentiality and compliance with the data protection regulations.
