Encryption takes place in a tamper-proof hardware module with symmetric, totally secret algorithms profiled by the customers themselves. This prevents attacks by both cryptographic and mechanical means. The periodic change of the communication keys takes place automatically without interrupting operations.

The rugged unit is especially designed for the use under harsh physical conditions. Its compact design makes it suitable for installations in mobile environments, e. g. vehicles or deployable command & control shelters.

Due to the passive cooling no fan and no air holes are necessary. Together with an optional interface adapter (sealing backpack) the unit is completely dust and watertight which makes it perfectly suitable for outdoor use.
